【철원】 철원출신 월북작가 이태준 탄생 100주면을 맞아 범 문단 사업으로 추진하는 문인비 건립사업이 지지부진한 가운데 지역 시민단체에서 조속한 문인비 건립을 촉구하고 나서면서 새로운 국면을 맞고 있다.
이태준 선생 탄생 100주면 기념사업회장 민영 시인과 이태준 문학 선양사업회, 철원문학회, 철원군 농민회(회장 김희용), 철원민중연대(의장 전흥준), 철원포럼(회장 정주신) 등 시민단체 회원들은 24일 낮 12시 철원 동송읍 모식당에서 문인비 건립을 위한 준비모임을 갖고 향후 대책에 대해 논의했다.
이날 남철희 선양사업회 대표 간사는 "철원군이 지난 6월초 한탄강 승일공원 내에 문인비 부지를 제공하겠다고 말해 놓고 최근 비문에 새길 원고에 월북사실과 북에서 행적을 담은 내용을 문제삼아 부지 제공에 난색을 표하는 등 또 다시 지엽적인 문제로 제동을 걸고 있다"고 지적했다.
민영시인은 "문인비 비문을 군에서 문제삼는 것은 당초부터 문인비 건립사업을 추진 할 의사가 없는 증거"라고 지적하고 "오는 10월 예정인 이태준 선생 100주면 기념행사를 앞두고 있는 상황에서 더 이상 지체할 수 없는 만큼 사유지 물색 등 차선책을 강구할 것"이라고 밝혔다. 한편 선양사업회는 오는 30일 문경현 철원군수 권한대행을 방문, 만족할 답변을 얻어내지 못할 경우 시민단체들이 연합, 선양사업 촉구 시위 등을 가질 계획이다.
