 포천시의회 "홍수조절용 한탄강댐 예산 삭감을'촉구 성명서 발표 ■“홍수조절용 한탄강댐 예산 삭감을”
포천시의회 반대 특위, 다목적댐 건설 촉구 성명서
포천시의회가 정부의 홍수조절용 한탄강댐 관련 예산 150억원을 삭감해줄 것을 요구하고 나섰다.
시의회 홍수조절용 한탄강댐 반대 특위(위원장 이병욱의원) 위원들은 지난 6일 오후 국회 예산결산특별위원회를 항의방문, 국회 건설교통위원회 예산심사소위를 통과한 홍수조절용 한탄강댐 건설 예산 150억원을 전액 삭감해줄 것을 요구하는 성명서를 전달했다.
이 자리에서 위원들은 정부의 홍수조절용댐 계획은 댐수몰면적의 76%, 수몰가구의 80%를 차지하는 포천 주민들의 실질적인 수혜 혜택이 전무해 다목적댐 건설이 아니면 댐건설 자체를 반대한다는 포천시민들의 뜻을 전하고 예산심의에 적극 반영해 줄 것을 촉구했다.
또 한탄강댐 건설 자체를 반대하는 철원군 의회 구선호 의장도 함께 방문 댐건설 백지화를 요구하는 주민들의 뜻을 전하고 예산 전액 삭감을 요구했다.
한편, 지난 4일에는 파주시의회 의원들과 주민등 90여명이 국회에서 홍수조절용 한탄강댐 건설에 필요한 예산 반영을 요구하는 집회을 가져 한탄강댐 건설을 두고 경기도 및 강원도의 각 지자체, 주민간 갈등이 심화되고 있다.
