【鐵原】한탄강댐 건설 백지화 선포식 및 한탄강의 날 군민 가요제가 6일 오후2시 고석정광장에서 박세환국회의원 한금석 군대책위원장 지강열·김동일·최형지도의원 이철우 전국회의원, 구인호 전도의원을 비롯, 각급 사회단체장, 철원·포천·연천주민 5,000여명이 참석한 가운데 성황리에 치러졌다.
한탄강댐반대철원·연천·포천 공동대책위(이하 공대위)가 주최한 이날 행사는 감사원 감사결과 댐건설 추진과정의 각종 문제점이 드러난데다 한탄강댐 건설 추진 관련예산 대부분이 국회에서 삭감되는 등 현실적으로 댐추진이 어렵다고 판단해 치러지게 됐다.
이날 선포식에서 공대위는 한탄강댐 백지화를 대내외에 선언하는 한편 주민들의 동의가 없는 댐건설이 더 이상 이땅에서 사라져야 한다고 강조했다.
최석범 한강수자원연구소장은 “제방보다 2.5배 더 비싸고 경제성과 홍수조절능력이 없고 국민적인 저항에 부딪칠 반생명적인 한탄강 댐은 이제 사라졌다”며 “정부는 임진강유역 치수방어를 위해 값싸고 환경친화적인 제방을 선택해야 한다”고 했다.
이날 행사는 그룹 동그라미가 식전행사로 공연을 갖는 등 시종 궐기대회 형식이 아닌 군민들의 축제와 어울림의 마당 등 축제 분위기로 치러졌다.
2시간여 이어지는 한탄강사랑 군민가요제에는 드럼세탁기, TV, 냉장고, 오디오, MP3, 은수저세트 등 각종 상품과 경품을 푸짐히 준비해 주민들을 즐겁게 했다.

【철원】 한탄강 댐 건설 백지화 선포식 및 제1회 한탄강사랑 가요제가 6일 오후 2시부터 6시까지 철원 고석정광장에서 철원지역을 비롯해 연천·포천주민 5000여명이 참석한 가운데 열렸다.
한탄강댐건설반대 철원·연천·포천 공동대책위원회(이하 공대위)가 주최한 이날 행사는 보컬그룹 동그라미의 식전공연에 이어 한탄강의 날 선포취지문 낭독, 백지화선포문 낭독, 한탄강사랑 가요제 등으로 진행됐다.
이철우(홍천출신) 전 국회의원은 '한탄강댐 백지화 선언문'을 통해 "감사원 감사로 거짓과 부패로 점철된 한탄강댐 건설계획의 비리가 만천하에 드러났다"며 "오늘 우리는 한탄강댐이 역사적인 강, 아름다운 한탄강을 송두리째 파괴하고 거짓과 부패가 인간성을 파괴하는 어리석고 또 어리석은 계획에 종지부를 찍는다"고 선포했다.
한금석 공대위 위원장은 "지난 7년 간 단식투쟁과 철야농성 등 끊임없는 투쟁으로 한탄강댐건설 백지화를 이끌어낸 것은 철원을 비롯한 3개 군민의 승리"라며 "철원군민의 젖줄이자 어머니와 같은 따뜻한 한탄강의 아름다운 자연경관을 훼손하는 어떠한 정책이나 행위도 용납하지 않을 것"이라고 말했다. 진종인
