한탄강, 잊혀진 비경을 찾아서
-무지개 핀 비둘기낭을 아시나요-
한탄강은 한반도에서 유일하게 화산이 폭발해서 생긴 강으로 '큰 여울의 강'이라는 뜻입니다.
또한 구석기시대부터 신석기, 삼국시대, 고려, 조선, 6.25를 지나 근대에 이르기까지 우리나라 역사 흐름을 품고있는 강입니다.
홍수조절로는 효과가 적은 것으로 결과가 나왔지만 댐계획은 진행중이네요.
우리가 미처 알지 못했던 한탄강의 자연유산과 문화유산을 맛보는 시간!
한탄강만이 줄 수 있는 5월의 아름다움을 느낄 수 있습니다.
댐이 완공되면 수몰될 그곳에 함께 가시죠~

_포천의 비둘기낭: 한탄강댐 예정지 본류로 흘러드는 지천의 말단부에 위치한 현무암 두부침식의 비경입니다. 300m 협곡의 중심에 위치한 폭포수와 주상절리 동굴을 보실 수 있어요.
_구라이 현무암협곡: 한탄강 본류로 흘러드는 지천의 현무암 대지에 600m 길이로 발달했습니다. 단계적인 현무암의 두부침식과 좁은 주상절리의 협곡, 작은 폭포 등이 어우러져 있습니다.
